Mathew Ray Salon Update

So, today we did an inspection of the space. It was a very good investment. We found that the electrical is ok. We have 125 amps so that should be fine. The big problem is the roof. So we will have to ask the owner to fix it before we move in. She is a really nice lady. I think that she is just happy that hairdressers are wanting to take over the space.

We are one step closer to opening the salon.

missing in action

I have been swamped at work trying to do budget planning and interview training and preparing for our new hire training coming up. I am excited. I am going to do Haircolor Basics and Inspire training. It will be fun. Just me and Matthew Calabro!

I have been addicted to Facebook right now. That is why I havent been on in awhile.

ISSE SHOW & FUTURE VISION 08

Well we just got back home from the show. So today was fun. We shopped until we dropped. We got brushes & clips from Hairlock, flat irons from Hai, a trolley from Efalock, saw my friends at Clairol Professional, Coworkers at the Wella/Sebastian/GW booth, ran into Julie Watson, Mike Karggggg, Steve & Annie Casiola, Gary/Jolene/Margie from Days of our Lives, Mary/Dana/Jackie from BTC.com (they gave us the cool journals with the hairdressers and keys dedicated to the hurrican Karina tragedy), got samples from SOMA, and just ran around with tons of stuff and had fun.
Future Vision 08 was great. There was something for everyone. Super advanced fashion from Vidal Sassoon Academy, real salon work from Nick Arrojo, and show dancing and fun from The Doves. They all talked about The Studios and the classes they do there. Everyone there got $100 vouchers to go to The Studios.
Got to go to bed because I am going tomorrow with Willi Abels again!

ISSE HAIR SHOW (Long Beach)

So, tomorrow we all are getting ready to go down to the show. I will be going with the Days of Our Lives hairdressers. They all got money to spend from NBC! Should be fun.

Hopefully we will see lots of cool things and I will have stuff to write about.

Tomorrow night we are going to Future Vision to see the latest trends and techniques from Wella/Sebastian/Graham Webb. I hear they got Jennifer Holiday to perform too!

Should be a fun day.
